I NEED HELP ON A LAB QUESTION!!!
Two mixed cylinders have exactly the same volume. Cylinder A has a higher fraction of Al than cylinder B. Is the mass of cylinder A greater than, less than, or equal to the mass of cylinder B?
I answered: “Greater Than” and explained, “Cylinder A has a greater mass since Cylinder A has more density considering the formula, D=m/v, and since density is directly proportional to mass this means that since Cylinder A has more Aluminum, Cylinder A has more mass than Cylinder B.”
Webassign marked it wrong but I do not understand why. Could I get some explanation to why it is not “greater than” or why I am wrong?
